Every year, International Women’s Day reminds us of the strength, value, and contributions of women in our families, communities, and society. As we mark International Women’s Day 2026, we also reflect on this year’s theme, “Give To Gain,” and what it means for women’s health.
At RCAD Women’s Health Foundation, this theme speaks deeply to our mission.
To give is to show care. To give is to educate. To give is to support. To give is to stand beside women and girls, especially in areas that affect their health, dignity, and future. And when we do this, we all gain healthier women, stronger families, and better communities.
Women often carry so much. They care for children, support families, build careers, serve their communities, and give endlessly of themselves. Yet, in the middle of all this, many women neglect their own health. Some ignore symptoms. Some delay check-ups. Some silently endure pain. Others do not have the information, encouragement, or access they need to seek help early.
This is why women’s health awareness remains so important.
This International Women’s Day, we want to remind every woman that your health matters. Your wellbeing matters. Your voice matters. Taking care of yourself is not selfish, it is necessary.
The message of Give To Gain encourages all of us to think about what we can give to improve the lives of women and girls.
- We can give awareness by sharing accurate health information.
- We can give support by encouraging women to speak up and seek help.
- We can give care by making space for women to rest, heal, and prioritise their wellbeing.
- We can give attention to issues that are too often ignored, such as fibroids, breast health, heart health, menopause, reproductive health, mental health, pregnancy-related concerns, and the importance of regular wellness checks.
When women receive these things, they gain more than treatment. They gain confidence. They gain knowledge. They gain the opportunity to act early. They gain strength to make informed decisions about their bodies and health.
At RCAD Women’s Health Foundation, we believe that empowering women with health knowledge can change lives. A woman who understands her body is better positioned to recognise warning signs, seek help on time, and encourage others to do the same. A community that supports women’s health becomes a healthier and more compassionate community for all.
This is one of the reasons our work remains so important. Through health education, awareness, and outreach, we continue to shine a light on critical women’s health issues and encourage women not to suffer in silence.

As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2026, we encourage every woman to make her health a priority.
- Book that medical check-up.
- Pay attention to symptoms you may have ignored.
- Ask questions.
- Seek medical advice when something does not feel right.
- Encourage another woman to do the same.
We also encourage families, friends, community leaders, and institutions to play their part. Women need environments where they are heard, supported, and empowered to care for their health without fear, shame, or delay.
When we give women the knowledge, support, and care they need, we all gain.
- We gain healthier mothers.
- We gain stronger daughters.
- We gain more informed communities.
- We gain hope for a better future.
This International Women’s Day, let us not only celebrate women, let us also commit to protecting their health and wellbeing.
From all of us at RCAD Women’s Health Foundation, we say:
Happy International Women’s Day 2026.
Let us continue to support, uplift, and empower women for a healthier tomorrow.
